I’m Berkshire grown, and proud to be the owner of one of the few remaining independently owned real estate offices in South Berkshire County.

Born in Great Barrington and raised in South Egremont, I attended the one-room schoolhouse in Egremont, and The Berkshire School in Sheffield. Following a short stint at Menlo Business College, I worked 91 hours a week on the Alaskan pipeline in Prudhoe Bay for seven months. I saved enough to become a partner in the family company, Kenver, Ltd., an upscale ski and outdoor store. After managing Kenver Ltd. for 19 years, in 2000, I embarked on a new career in real estate.

Bringing my commitment to customer service and an array of local connections cultivated over decades, I carefully built one of the most successful real estate companies in the Berkshires.

I’m a people person. I think people would say I’m caring and jovial. I like to make people laugh, but my drive to go the extra mile—or two—or twenty—to serve my clients is serious. I am obsessive about solving problems and staying on top of the countless details of every real estate transaction.

What makes this company unique is that we understand that buying and selling houses is so much more than a business transaction—it’s personal. I’m pleased to say that my extraordinary team of full-time agents are the best in the business, and LVRE truly owes its success to them.

Liz and I both really enjoyed working with Lance – he is thoughtful and extremely knowledgeable, but also warm, funny and thoroughly easy to work with. When we started to look for a second home in the Berkshires, we were recommended to Lance by friends who had known and worked with him for years. He was enormously helpful first in giving us a general overview of the area, and later in identifying properties that he thought we’d like (and, just as importantly, in steering us away from those that he knew we would not…). He was persistent, but easygoing and patient, as our search went on over an extended period, and until we found just the right place. And once we did, he helped us through all of the steps and tasks leading up to closing and, in fact, has since continued to be a terrific source of good recommendations for contractors, landscapers, alarm companies, etc. You can’t go wrong with Lance.
