PERSONAL MOTTO:

Promise what you can deliver; deliver more than you promised.

I was raised on the family farm on Seekonk Cross Road. Except for two years in London, I have lived my entire life in the Berkshires. I’m a family person. My husband, John, and I raised two fabulous children here, fed by the beauty of each season, the wonderful cultural opportunities, and the awesome variety of outdoor activities.

I’ve been fortunate enough to have travelled far and wide. I have drawn inspiration from hiking in the Himalayas, skiing the back country in Wyoming, and taking in British, European and Asian culture and history on family trips. Each time I return, I feel just as fortunate to land back home in my beloved Berkshires.

Self help and wellness is a life-long passion. For a number of years, I studied with early fitness pioneer, Bonnie Prudden. I opened my own studio, Fitness Express in the late ‘80s, which became a hub for my work with everybody from local school children to seniors to those with intellectual disabilities. Working in all corners of the Berkshires, I became steeped in the local community.

My new career in real estate is shaped by those years serving the needs of a wide variety of clients. I bring vibrant energy, hard work, integrity and creativity to the job. I support my real estate clients with the understanding that they’re making one of the most important investments in their lives—both emotionally and economically.

I believe that each one of us should come home at the end of the day to a place of relaxation, rejuvenation and recovery. Home truly is where the heart is—helping people find that is fulfilling to me. Whether they are buying or selling, I want to help people be where they want—and need—to be. In other words, I want to help my clients live their dreams.

Testimonials

Jeff and I cannot thank you enough for treating us so graciously as we close the book on this important chapter in our lives.  I’s sure you picked up on how dear the old family farm was to both of us.  Its is clear, that because of your own timely experiences and decades of dealing with clients, you understand all the emotions and memories that can be tied up in a place – a place that has been a part of my entire life and my family’s for over 100 years.  We had hoped the farm would remain in our family, but that decision was beyond our control.  Still it is Jeff’s and my sincere wish that as the new owners fish in the Konkapot, hunt on the property, and prepare meals in the old farm kitchen, that they come to appreciate what a truly special place the farm is.  For many of us in my family, the farm was a site of joyful celebrations – weddings, reunions, picnics, and so much more.  It also provided a safe harbor for children and adults when they were “adrift” and needed anchoring.  So, thank you again Claire.  You made a difficult process easier.  And for that, I am grateful.

Warmly,

– Melissa
