MOST PEOPLE WOULDN’T KNOW:
Despite my short stature, I was an avid basketball player—so much so that I built a basketball court in my previous Berkshire home.
Ruining many walks pursuing the game of golf.
I was raised in New York, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University. Drawn by the serenity of the region, I moved to the Berkshires full time in 1997. I am grateful to live here with my wife, Paula.
A 40-year veteran of the institutional trading equity and options business, I’ve been quoted in several financial publications, including the Wall Street Journal. I’ve been investing in local real estate since 2006, and am co-developer of Highfield on Main, an upscale condo project in Great Barrington. I also serve on the Board of the Community Development Corporation of the Southern Berkshires whose mission is creating affordable housing and economic development.
I got my real estate license in 2011, and joined the LVRE team in 2017. I served as Treasurer on the Berkshire County MLS Board during 2016-17. I’m licensed in MA, NY, and CT, and work with both commercial and residential clients.
I am good at quickly cutting through the maze of inventory to deliver great property prospects to my clients. When offer time comes, I’m a skilled negotiator. My goal is to bring about the best result for all parties involved.
Due to my many years in the financial world, I know my way around market statistics and analytics. I can help seller clients understand market conditions and trends, and position their property accordingly. Likewise, I educate my buyers on how a target property fits in to the larger picture.
I enjoy my work, and put in long hours to make sure my clients receive the best service I can offer.
We found Tom by lucky accident. We liked that he is licensed in New York, Massachusetts and Connecticut because we wanted more options. He guided us to our apartment and a short time later to our new home. Tom not only knows the market and the surrounding areas, he offers savvy advice. His personal attention carried over from our deposit to the closing, and made a complicated process much smoother. We are very grateful to Tom and we highly recommend him.
It’s hard to believe that at this time last year my husband Steve and I had just begun to look at houses, hoping to find our next home in the Berkshires. We had started off looking at property with the idea of building, but with the encouragement of our very helpful, wise (and patient!) broker, Tom Doyle, we began to realize that there were so many existing homes that would suit our desire to be living in this area sooner rather than having to face years of planning and building.
We were coming from Long Island, so each visit had to be well organized to maximize our brief time, and Tom always had a well thought out game plan that gave us a chance to see as many houses in the area as we could without feeling rushed. He steered us away from those that he knew would not appeal, and found us a surprising number of good possibilities. Between trips, he sent along any listings that fit our criteria right away. Once we zeroed in on The One, he made sure we got several chances to see it. He was very helpful with all aspects of the purchase, even beyond closing. Now that we are finally getting settled into our new home, it seems inevitable, but looking back, we know we have Tom to thank for guiding us on the “long and winding road” to find it!

We have truly appreciated your help and professionalism, and even more your kindness, over the past months. We too look forward to many good times here in the Pines.
We will most certainly be pleased and ready to recommend you to others.
