I really do like to rearrange the furniture. While it annoys my family and confuses my dog, when it comes to living space, there’s a huge difference between “tolerable” and “just right.” Things should be just right — and you know it when you see it.
My professional background has always involved design and making things just right. As a decorative artist, I painted murals and faux finishes. I was the buyer and merchandiser for Pine Cone Hill in Lenox. I spent several years as an interior stylist. Now, in addition to being a realtor, I am a co-owner of Dory & Ginger home and lifestyle store in Pittsfield.
I grew up in Westchester County, and lived on Cape Cod for several years before moving to the Berkshires in 2000. Since then, my husband and I have bought and sold several houses in the Berkshires, both move-in-ready and eyesores. We even built a home. I know well the huge decisions buyers and sellers face.
Having lived and worked and raised a son here—and having cultivated so many wonderful connections—I couldn’t be happier calling the Berkshires my home.
I bring my love for and experience with home design and renovation to my real estate career. I look forward to helping you, whether it’s making your home “just right” for sale, or finding your “just right” home.
Cara has been an absolute treasure. Aside from being super friendly she also displayed a great sensibility to understand not only what we were looking for in a house, but also who we were as a family. We felt well taken care of. She had great advice and is thoroughly connected to everything pertaining to the whole house-buying process.
As a family of nine people and relocating from abroad her support and insights were critical to our success.
She has a warm-hearted, clear and professional style and we can recommend her whole heartedly!

This year my husband and I purchased our dream home. If we didn’t have Cara in our corner we would have never been able to make our dreams come true. S he was there every step of the way and made the process as simple as it could have been. Cara truly is passionate about helping families be able to move into their dream home. She truly had our backs and made our dreams come true.

I had a great experience working with Cara on finding and guiding me through to the purchase of my dream cabin in the woods in the Berkshires this past September. Cara was genuine, professional, thoughtful, straight shooting, responsive, knowledgeable and patient and also fun to work with. I’m not sure how she managed to check all of the boxes of what you would hope an agent to be in one person, but she did. She has boundless energy which is needed to deal with all of the things to pop up, and importantly, would also distill complex situations into digestible facts, ie what the upshot is to me as a buyer and what I should consider. I am still thanking her today for people or local organizations she suggested I should reach out to in the area, who could help with x y or z in terms of house upgrades/maintenance. A friendly, genuine agent who is on the level and knows what she’s talking about is hard to find and I feel pretty lucky that I found Cara.
